After the success of last years BBQ we are holding a
similar event on Friday 13th June 2008 at Meadowtop,
This year Terry has kindly offered to take anyone who
wants (for a small fee), out on one of his military vehicles.
The cost is yet to be finalised but is likely to be
£5.00 per head, which will include your food. Bring your own drinks.
The AGM will be held on Tuesday 6th May
2008 at 7.30pm in the Parish Hall. (If the Hall is unavailable see local press
for of venue)
Come along and take part in the AGM. This is your
chance to find out what’s going on within the Society, to ask any questions you
want answering and to elect the members you want to represent you on the
committee.
Would you like to serve your Society by being on the
committee? You will need a proposer and a seconder to put
yourself up for election.

The Play this year will be “Hobson’s Choice” directed
by Rachel Scott.
Play readings have been arranged for Wednesday 14th
and 21st May 2008 at Rachel’s house (

Provisional dates for the play are 15th to
18th October 2008, these will be finalised when we know where we are
putting it on.
Next year’s show will be “Chess” and is to be directed by Howard Raw.
Enrolment night and first rehearsal for this will be on Tuesday 26th August 2008 at 7.30pm.

Congratulations to Richard Sanderson who has been
nominated for the NODA North West Award for Best Supporting Actor in a Musical
for his role of Sir Evelyn, for this Society, in “Anything Goes” last year.
The results will be announced at the Annual NODA
North West Dinner and Awards evening on 25th May 2008.
Video Night
“Singin’ In The Rain” video night has been arranged for Tuesday 11th March 2008 at the Swan & Royal Hotel, Clitheroe from 7.30pm. The Clitheroe Camcorder Club are kindly lending us a screen and projector on which we can watch ourselves!!
Future of the Hall
As you may be aware Trinity Partnership, who have been running the St. Mary’s Centre for the past few years, are pulling out on 31st March 2008.
From that date the running of the Hall
will revert back to the Trustees of the
The Society’s committee are in discussions with the trustees trying to find out what their plans are for the Hall. The committee are also looking at other venues where we might rehearse and put on our future productions.
