Summer BBQ

After the success of last years BBQ we are holding a similar event on Friday 2^nd July 2010 at Meadowtop, Back Lane, Chipping by kind permission of our Chairman Terry Till. Again this year Terry has kindly offered to take anyone who wants (for a small fee), out on one of his military vehicles. We may get him to get the Tank out again (weather permitting). The cost will again remain at £5.00 per head, which will include your food. Bring your own drinks, glasses and a garden chair (if you have one).

Songs From The Shows

The Society has decided this year to stage a “Songs from the Shows” from 20^th – 22^nd May 2010. David Hulme has agreed to put this together along with Lindsay Pollard our Choreographer. The theme is “Celebrate the Noughties” and will be a selection of songs from the last 10 years productions by this Society. 

First rehearsal will be on Tuesday 23^rd March 2010 at 7.30pm in St. Mary’s Centre.

It promises to be a great production and will hopefully raise some money for the Society. Everyone is welcome to join in, so please come along and support David and Lindsay.

Play Readings

The Play this year will be directed by Terry Till and will be a farce or comedy. Play readings have been arranged for Wednesday 12^th and 26^th May 2009 in the St. Mary’s Centre, (Mutual Room) from 7.30pm.

Everyone is welcome whether you want to be on stage or just help out.

 The dates of the play are 13^th to 16^th October 2010.

Show 2011

 Next year’s show will be “Oklahoma” and is to be directed by Howard Raw.

Enrolment night and first rehearsal for this will be on Tuesday 31^st August 2010 at 7.30pm.

Hope to see you all again for this wonderful show.

 If any of you know of any new members who would like to join please bring them along, they will be made very welcome.

The dates for the show are 19^th to 26^th February 2011.

Video Night

“42^nd Street” video night has been arranged for Tuesday 16^th March 2010 and will be held in the St. Mary’s Centre from 7.30pm.

The Bar will be open.

We will be showing the DVD on the big cinema screen!!

Hope you can all “come along  and listen to” and watch your performances.

 Annual General Meeting

The AGM will be held on Tuesday 4^th May 2010 at 7.30pm in the Parish Hall. 

Come along and take part in the AGM. This is your chance to find out what’s going on within the Society, to ask any questions you want answering and to elect the members you want to represent you on the committee.

Would you like to serve your Society by being on the committee? You will need a proposer and a seconder to put yourself up for election.
